Gently Used S10 AirSense CPAP with EPR and HumidAir Heated Humidifier

Product ID # 37203

Introduction:

ResMed's release of the AirSense 10 CPAP/VPAP line has proven once again, that they represent the new benchmark for quality, and innovation.

The cosmetic changes to the S10 are clear - more than ever the S10 Series shows that a CPAP device can look like it belongs on your nightstand - resembling more a clock radio, than medical equipment. The overall dimensions of the unit are 10" x 4.5" x 6". Weight on the S10 CPAP/VPAP is 2.75 lbs (23% less than previous generation). Many of the features that have become so popular with the S9 generation have remained the same - Climateline/ClimateAir tubing, color interface, EPR, and advanced data recording options.

For many years, ResMed has prided themselves on quiet blower technology, and the S10 Series CPAP and VPAP devices are no exception. With a blower noise output level of only 26 dBA, it is virtually silent. As with the S8 and S9 devices, the S10 also incorporates Easy-Breathe Technology as well as EPR, or Expiratory Pressure Relief which combine to provide the most 'natural' breathing cycle of any CPAP device on the market.

The S10 AutoSet CPAP features include internal comprehensive data recording to include AHI, Leak Rate, and Compliance data, with a convenient SD Card data recording option for data portability. Also included are ramp, automatic altitude adjustment, as well as automatic voltage adjustment from 110-240V. This S10 device, as with all S10 devices, have the capability of running off a 12volt power source. Continuing with previous ResMed tradition, the S10 devices are noted for their very low failure rate, and portability. Pressure range for this, and all CPAP devices within the S10 line, is 4cm-20cm h20.

The AirSense™ 10 CPAP Machine with HumidAir™ is a polished looking machine and built-in humidifier designed with user experience in mind. Easily understood menus, SmartStart™, and quiet operations are a few of the features that make this CPAP a great option. This is a single pressure CPAP machine that does not auto-adjust.

HumidAir™ Heated Humidifier

The AirSense™ 10 CPAP Machine provides a built-in heat plate which helps give this device an overall smaller profile when compared to the S9 ResMed generation. There are a stout number of heat setting options - 10 total, including off - more heat setting options than any other CPAP on the market.

As with the S9 ResMed CPAP line - automated humidifier is an optional feature - renamed to ClimateLineAir this integrated heated tube dramatically reduces the susceptibility of rain out or condensation in the tubing and mask, by utilizing the Auto Climate Control mode. This feature keeps track of not only the temperature of the tubing, but also of ambient air around the tubing.

AutoRamp™

The AirSense™ 10 AutoRamp™ technology provides a very intuitive approach to comfort. A patented algorithm  senses when the user wakes, reduces the previous theraputic pressure, and then resumes that pressure, in sync with the user's return to a sleep-state.

SmartStart™

The  AirSense™ 10 CPAP also features SmartStart™. This feature, which has been around for some time, allows for automatic start, once the mask is place on the user, and automatically turns the device off, once the mask has been removed.

Integrated Light Sensor

A very nice feature of the AirSense generation CPAP is the integrated light sensor. This feature automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient light changes. This feature also allows the screen to turn completely off, after a  short time, once the machine starts. This is a feature also available on the S9 ResMed generation.

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR™)

One of the most significant advancements in sleep therapy treatment of the last 20 years, is Expiratory Pressure Relief or EPR. A comfort feature originally patented by Respironics (CFLEX) many years ago. EPR will sense when the user starts their exhalation phase, and softens the pressure by up to 3cm h20,  making it easier to exhalation against the pressure.

Therapy Data

The AirSense™ 10 CPAP provides only basic on-screen compliance data, to include AHI, average nightly use, and total usage over time.

As with all our gently used S10 CPAP devices, the Resmed S10 AirSense CPAP System has a 1 year Warranty.
