Bella Loops – Around the Ear

For those who simply cannot get the traditional around-the-head, headgear to seat properly, ResMed has provided an answer in the Bella Loops. Composed of very lightweight silicone materials, the Bella loops, loop around the ears to provide a soft anchor point for the mask. Soft sleeves are included for each ‘around the ear’ loop to further protect and add comfort.

The Swift FX Bella for Her ‘around the ear’ headgear is a new update to the Swift FX headgear family. The Bella headgear is completely integrative in that the Swift FX and the Swift FX Bella For Her share the same nasal pillow, and pillow frame. The Bella FX Headgear is incredibly lightweight, super soft silicone headgear that lightly rests on the cheeks giving a remarkable visual place to read, watch TV, etc. The add to the overall comfort, ResMed includes soft felt pads for the headgear, to virtually eliminate any irritation, and most importantly, the pesky ‘mask marks’ we experience when waking in the morning, that make take hours to clear up.

The importance of these wraps cannot be over-emphasized. Not only to do they provide added comfort, they help stabilize the mask, they also significantly reduce the signs of the dreaded mask marks many experience from wearing a nasal mask throughout the night.

Quiet Operation

The air diffuses gently out and away from you and your partner through exhalation ports smartly placed on the frame itself, and not the cushion as in many other nasal pillow masks. This helps reduce the sounds associated with airflow and blower noise output. Testing has shown the noise level on these masks at 10 cm h20 to be about 25 decibels with is very low when compared to other masks.

All Swift FX nasal pillows are equipped with what is called dual-wall design. This dual wall helps stabilize the soft pillows and assists with providing a consistent seal. Active and side sleepers will appreciate this feature, as well as the integrated flexible chamber that also helps provide stability. This increased flexibility helps facilitate movement without the risk of breaking the seal.

The Bella For Her comes with Extra Small, Small,  and Medium size pillows included in the package. This allows you to choose what pillow works best for you, without the trial and error that comes with having only one size to work with.

The Bella ‘around the head’ headgear keeps with ResMed’s minimalist design and has only 2 points to adjust: A thin but sturdy backstrap and adjustable clip on top. The backstrap portion of the headgear is a soft Lycra material with Velcro fasteners. The top adjustable clip is notched for easy adjustment, and the overall design allows it to work with just about any head shape or hairstyle.
